A tsunami warning remains in affect in Chile and Peru. The earthquake occurred near the coast of northern Chile with a magnitude of 8.2. So far, stations in both Chile and Peru have reported the tsunami to have come ashore. The highest wave reported by a station was 2.11m in Iquique, however the actual hight in many places will most likely have been significantly higher.
